That's what I'm going to do with this blog. I'm going to turn it into my punkrustic blog, so you can see me knitting boas and baking ankh bread and cross-stitching "Hel's kitchen" pieces for the pantry wall. Mmm.

knitty.com
knitty.com is a nifty site devoted to my latest whimsical hobby.
Over the years, I think I've established that deep down I want to be terminally domestic--but with an edge. Recipe collecting, knitting, planting tomatoes in pots, and rock climbing... YEAH.

Cartoon junkies
I have always had more than a burning desire to be a political cartoonist. This is one of those projects I want to conscript my partner into.
Finally, a textbook on the subject. Sort of. Cagle Cartoons has put together a "Best of" book for the past year in funnies.
I used to print these up at work and hang them on my wall. These days, I save online cartoons and save them to my screensaver folder.
But someday, someday... I will make art, politics, and wit collide, too.

CNN.com - Pentagon debate rages over 'information operations' in Iraq - Dec 2, 2004
CNN management has asked the Pentagon for an official response to a report in the Los Angeles Times that identified Gilbert's comments as a possible case of deliberate misinformation of news outlets. The newspaper reported that the interview was part of a broader effort to manipulate the media to achieve U.S. goals in Iraq.
My head hurts.
